An Improved Result on $H_{\infty }$ Load Frequency Control for Power Systems With Time Delays

Due to the increasingly marketized demands of power systems, dedicated communication channel used by traditional load frequency control (LFC) scheme is ineluctably replaced highly open networks, which may introduce constant, and time-varying delays. Hereupon, for those two kinds methods, this article explores LFC problem systems in consideration By utilizing Lyapunov stability theory, an improved inequality technique, some criteria guaranteeing stability, specified H ∞ performance closed-loop system are obtained, a PID-type controller with time delays disturbance designed. The case studies take one-area delayed traditional/deregulated three-area as examples discuss relationships between maximum allowable delay, gain well delays, minimum index, respectively. Finally, effectiveness method proposed verified, comparison results show certain advantages presented over existing literature.
